Flows is a desktop task and project management application designed to help individuals and product teams structure their work, visualize progress, and achieve goals without administrative overhead.The product balances deep functionality—kanban boards, project timelines, task dependencies, and workload analytics—with a clean, distraction-free interface tailored for desktop environments.The case study outlines the full product design process, from visual identity and information architecture to component states, micro-interactions, and dark mode adaptations.

Context

Most project management tools suffer from cognitive overload, cluttering the screen with dense menus and confusing navigation patterns.Flows addresses this by adopting a modular workspace layout, giving users flexible views (Lists, Boards, Timelines, and Analytics) that adapt to the task at hand.Key design highlights include a command palette for rapid task creation, keyboard-first navigation, automated progress tracking, and refined visual hierarchy for team collaboration.
